Bury My Art At Wounded Knee: Blood & Guts in the Art School Industrial Complex is a proposed transdisciplinary space that aims to raise awareness and interrogate the manner in which Native north american art functions within the art institution. Focusing primarily on the absence of contemporary Indigenous art within the realms of the art school industrial complex, this thesis exhibition is a study initiated by an imagined and unapologetic collective, R.I.S.E.: Radical Indigenous Survivance & Empowerment. It honors the actions set forth by Native north american artists, activists, writers, and visionaries, in order to provide an adaptable platform for future generations of Native warriors.
